[Business in the Pandemic] HSBC Launches Digital Sharing Platform for SMEs to Boost Business Connections

Under the pandemic, doing business may be extremely difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To help SMEs and start-ups cope with current challenges, HSBC today launched the beta version of a brand-new sharing platform for Hong Kong SMEs — "HSBC VisionGo" (www.visiongo.hsbc.com.hk) — which connects SMEs and start-ups digitally and provides useful information. The platform is open to all SMEs, start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs, and non-HSBC customers are welcome to become members.

"HSBC VisionGo" provides users with a knowledge base covering a range of business topics, including finance, marketing, law and technology. The platform has already uploaded nearly 500 original articles written by entrepreneurs and industry specialists for reading, and new content will be added regularly, such as how businesses can respond to the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, or practical advice on applying for the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme's "100% Loan Guarantee" special concessionary loans.

To promote connection and exchange, "HSBC VisionGo" links SMEs together, and users can also take part in online consultation sessions and workshops to exchange views with like-minded entrepreneurs. In addition, starting this week, interested SMEs can register for free on "HSBC VisionGo" to join online seminars and Zoom video conferences on the "100% Loan Guarantee" special concessionary loans. The platform will continue to add other activities.

HSBC understands that businesses need more than financial support, and has therefore created "HSBC VisionGo" for SMEs and start-ups — a digital sharing platform that promotes business connections and brings together suitable information. After several months of preparation, the group is now launching the beta version of the platform, so that, in the current adversity, SMEs can connect with one another and exchange practical insights.
