Kodak Launches Its Own Photography Magazine, Kodachrome

Since digital photography became widespread, Kodak has struggled financially and even filed for bankruptcy protection. However, it seems the company has recently picked itself up again: besides releasing a new film stock, it has also started a new in-house photography magazine.
Kodak says the new magazine is aimed at lovers of art, film and traditional photography. Called Kodachrome, the magazine will revolve around all kinds of creative work and art. Besides photography, it will also feature writing, sculpture, music and other content, making it very diverse. The first issue is reportedly a "limited edition" of 76 pages, with illustrations, photographic works, feature stories and more.
Kodachrome is already on sale in the United States at US$20, and can be ordered from Kodak's online store. In fact, many people who saw the news assumed that Kodak was relaunching the classic Kodachrome film, and were a little disappointed to learn that it was only a magazine. Still, in an age when sales of print magazines keep falling, the decision to launch one anyway suggests there will be plenty worth reading. It would be great if it could be brought to Hong Kong.
