Google Photos Adds Video Stabilization Feature

As smartphone camera performance becomes ever more powerful, many people now like to use their phones to shoot photos and videos, and then store them in various photo management tools. Of course, the reliability of backup in such tools is the most important thing, but it is best if they can also offer a range of useful extra features. For example, Google Photos has recently added a new feature that can make originally shaky videos steadier, so there is no need to worry even if your phone has no stabilization.
Note that in recent years the cameras of many flagship phones have included stabilization. Beyond hardware, some phones also stabilize footage through software. However, for phones without stabilization, the results of shooting video while walking are certainly not ideal. Fortunately, after more than half a year of testing, Google Photos has finally officially launched its new "Stabilize" feature. When video is shot with a device without stabilization, the stabilizing effect after conversion is quite noticeable, and you only need to tap the "Stabilize" option to process the video, which is quite convenient.
As for the processing time for video stabilization, it depends on the length of the video. Shorter videos take only a few minutes to complete. Of course, not every video can be corrected to an ultra-stable result, but note that since Google Photos is free and offers unlimited storage, we should not demand too much.
